What is MCAR?

MCAR is your gateway to the regional MLS and a professional association with a broad portfolio of member services, many of which are unavailable anywhere else:

• Only MCAR has the free Speaker Series, which features national-level real estate personalities such as Jeremy Conaway, Terry Watson, Jerry Rossi and David Knox.
• Only MCAR sought to enhance the perception of the local real estate market by teaming with the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News on The Big Open House, a region-wide community open house that generated positive local and national media coverage.
• Only MCAR features REALTOR® leadership from some of the largest and most prestigious real estate brokerages in Michigan. In the past 10 years, three of the state’s REALTOR® of the Year honorees have come from MCAR.
• Only MCAR has the REALTOR® Association Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to the area’s best students. Children of REALTOR® members can apply to the Fund to help with their education expenses.

Secondary REALTORS® (REALTORS® with a primary membership at another association) pay $50 (July), $33 (Aug.) or $17 (Sept.).

Affiliate Memberships are $40 (July), $27 (Aug.) or $13 (Sept.).

Brokers from other local REALTOR® Associations wishing to have Realcomp II access will be charged $60 per year (pro-rated at $5 per month) and must submit a letter of good standing from their primary association along with payment. All licensees with the broker will be assessed the same rate.

Application for REALTORS®. This is the general application required to join MCAR. Membership in NAR and MAR opens the gate to your career in real estate.

Application for affiliates. For applicants who do not practice real estate but recognize the value of belonging to the state's largest local REALTOR® association. Ideal for home interior designers, mortgage lenders, home inspectors, surveyors, etc.

Membership Change. A form required for agents who change brokerage firms.
