Programs from MCAR bring agents together By Walt Baczkowski, MCAR CEO A career in real estate sales seems to include innumerable sales meetings, productivity seminars and motivational presentations. During my 30+ years in the real estate profession, I have spent countless hours in one of these types of programs. My approach has always been that the time is well spent if at least one new idea or thought can be taken away from the presentation. There is one type of program that always exceeds my expectations in this regard: the one that provides an opportunity to meet with peers in small group settings to discuss issues and ideas. Unfortunately, opportunities to get together like this are becoming rare. Time constraints and technology are two main reasons for the demise of such face-to-face gatherings. We live in a time where the volume of text messages sent daily exceeds the population of the entire planet, though it’s hardly the ideal venue for genuine interaction. The tremendous return on investment that can be realized from meeting with your peers is sorely missing in our hurry-up society. But MCAR recognizes this return on investment and has developed two opportunities for REALTORS® to reconnect and share experiences while learning from each other. Think & Grow and The Mastermind Group are designed as sharing and coaching opportunities for REALTORS® at all levels in their careers. Think & Grow is structured for members in the profession for four years or less or members who want to share ideas on what works in today’s economy. The Mastermind Group, meanwhile, is for experienced agents who are looking to get to the next level in their career. You can read more about the new programs here. Due to the nature of these sessions, attendance is strictly limited to provide the right atmosphere for constructive dialog. A facilitator will be available at each session to keep the discussions moving. Don’t miss your chance to “take away” the thought, idea or concept that could be a key to your future success. |
