Despite the high level of professionalism readily apparent among REALTORS®, disputes will occassionally arise. If you need to file an ethics complaint or request for aribtration, please use one of the forms below and either return it to the MCAR office or fax it to (248) 879-8280.

Professional Standards

Anyone can place a "For Sale" sign on a front lawn, but it takes a REALTOR® to understand and comply with the National Association of REALTORS'® Code of Ethics. It is this Code that distinguishes genuine REALTORS® from anyone carrying a lawn sign.

MCAR offering Code of Ethics "road show"


A team of MCAR members is available to visit local brokerage offices and review the grievance process -- from filing an initial complaint to appearing before a Professional Standards panel -- as well as to distribute relevant information and respond to general questions about the entire process.
